Performance Investigation and Cogging Torque Reduction in a Novel Modular Stator PM Flux Reversal Machine

In this research paper, various performances of five different rotor pole topologies the proposed novel modular stator (MS) permanent magnet (PM) flux reversal machine were investigated. The design had concentrated, non-overlapping winding, which offered high average torque capability at a wide speed range. no-load such as coil test analysis, three-phase linkage, distribution, back-EMF, and cogging torque, load versus current density, instantaneous electromagnetic compared. PM created vibration noise in machine. Different reduction techniques, notching, arc, flange hybrid technique arc flange, notch, notch applied to reduce improve induced voltage, harmonics, ripples. maximum decreased by 87.66% 82% when techniques applied, respectively, minimum effect on was 20.66%. Furthermore, reduced 66.72%. voltage up 12.83% using technique. harmonics content 40% enhanced performance. When applying technique, ripples 90.11%.
